Frequently Asked Questions

Why are pro fingerboards so expensive?

Pro fingerboards undergo the same assembly process as a full-sized skateboard and use similar materials. Most of the cost of producing a fingerboard does not come from the material cost but the actual production cost, as each deck is made of multiple plys of wood that are often handmade. The trucks, wheels, and bearings are also machined in the same process as a full-sized skateboard.

What size fingerboard is best for beginners?

We recommend a beginner get a deck that is between 32-33mm wide. For the length of the deck, the most common sizing would be between 96-99mm. This is ideal for a beginner as deck sizes are the middle ground. There are plenty of options that are smaller or larger than this that are useful and optimal for certain tricks but they also are more difficult in some situations. Keeping your sizing right in the middle when you start will ensure you have a well-rounded fingerboard for whatever tricks or spots you want to hit while building your own personal preferences.
