The Jay Wheel is back. After only a few batches were made years ago, the original material formula was lost, and it took nearly six years of trial and error to recreate it. Now it’s returned, and this time the formula is here to stay. The open bearing edition was inspired by skaters flipping their bearings.
In terms of feel, the Jay material is more grippy than standard FlatFace wheels, but it’s not urethane. Compared to urethane, it’s slightly harder and less grippy. The closest comparison would be the Blistered x FlatFace 72D Ultra, though the Jay Wheel is a bit harder, slightly less grippy, and even smoother overall. Color may vary slightly between batches, and the material will naturally darken over time with use, similar to real skateboard wheels.
This version features the G9 dual bearing design, combining the popular G4 shape with the legendary G7 dual bearing system (originally developed in 2007). The result is a wheel that closely mimics real skateboard wheels, offering increased durability, no bearing slip, and an incredibly smooth, fast ride. The dual bearing setup also improves balance and control, while giving a slightly wider overall feel due to the wheel positioning.
Compatibility:
These wheels are not compatible with standard Blackriver or Dynamic trucks. They are designed specifically for dual bearing setups, including Blackriver Trucks for Dual Bearing Wheels and Dual Bearing Dynamic Trucks. They are also compatible with other brands such as Tech Deck, Dump Trucks, Fire Trucks, Bollie Trucks, Y-Trucks, and more.
